WHAT TO EXPECT

Let’s put those new Sketching skills to work! The ever-important follow-on class to the Organic Sketching series… Let’s put all those new Sketching techniques to work for us and create some great drawings! 8 informative weeks of intense drawing! (Organic Sketching is a prerequisite)

Organic Drawing is designed to stretch those awesome mental and sketching skills we learned in OS. Time to bring your own style and designs into the picture! Employing your newfound skills and techniques, we work together to bring your sketched concepts to the completed drawing stage. We will be working from images, real objects, but mostly your imaginations! We will stress shading, tone, line quality, highlighting, weight, and focus and more. Besides being extremely necessary in developing a solid drawing foundation, it’s also a fun mental challenge, a hand eye coordination experience, and a creative base from which to expand!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Our Figure Drawing Instructor, Chris Maggio, formerly taught college-level figure drawing, among other courses. He is a Medical Illustrator by degree, as well as a concept artist, architectural illustrator/designer, product designer, cartoonist, painter, master sketch artist, and draftsman/engineer. His personal favorite creative genre is anything nautical.
