Organic Sketching (OS) is a relaxing, natural, and pleasing way to express our concepts, ideas, and dreams into their first visual stages. It’s a combination of learned skills, observations, employing creative techniques, and endlesspractice. Sketching is typically the very first step in almost every genre of art, be it drawing, painting, sculpting, architecture, or design. Unreliable skills make starting a sketch frustrating for some people and can even make the experience of sketching a fearful hurdle!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Our Figure Drawing Instructor, Chris Maggio, formerly taught college-level figure drawing, among other courses. He is a Medical Illustrator by degree, as well as a concept artist, architectural illustrator/designer, product designer, cartoonist, painter, master sketch artist, and draftsman/engineer. His personal favorite creative genre is anything nautical.
