Class description
Acrylic painting is one of the easiest forms of painting to pick up! It is very forgiving because it dries quickly, can cover up mistakes and is water soluble. In this class, bring your own paints no matter how high or low quality they may be, and we will work with them to create paintings that explore this relatively new medium while learning more about it.
We will go over brush techniques, do’s and don’ts to keep your brushes lasting a long time, painting mediums that can help achieve different effects, and tips to finding your own personal painting style. This will be a guided class where we will be walking through making a painting together, each in our own styles and with our own paint colors. You will leave with a one of a kind original!
Supplies
Bring your own acrylic paints! We do not supply acrylic in the workshop at this time.
It is also recommended to bring your own canvas so you can choose the size – try to keep it under 2 feet so you can complete the painting during the class.
We have brushes, but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have ones you prefer to use. We will provide water cups and paper towels and pallets if you don’t have your own.
Wear clothing you would not be upset to get paint on.
