Workshop description

In this short workshop, you will learn the basics of knitting, a technique that will allow you to create any kind of wearable, decorative, or useful piece of art. Come spend a relaxing afternoon learning a new craft!

Supply List

  1. 1 Ball of yarn

  2. 1 Round knitting needles (The ones with the chord)

Places to buy:

  • Joanns

  • Michaels

  • Any yarn store

How to choose the yarn and the needles:

First: Choose your favorite yarn, don’t go too thin. The thicker the yarn the easier it is to learn.

Second: look at the label, it will tell you what size needles you need. If you don’t find the right number, you can try one number of bigger needles or smaller needles (preferably go bigger)

About the Instructor

I am a visual artist and illustrator with a specialization in textile art. I grew up in Chile surrounded by weavers and craft makers. Throughout the course of my studies, I began to experiment with a variety of materials, from watercolors to digital tools until I found my niche. When I moved to the US, I started again with the punch needle and honed my skill.
