About the Artist - Adriana Serdán Vázquez
I have been a sculptor and potter for 28 years. During that time, I have sold my work in fairs and festivals as well as in art shows and galleries in Mexico. For the last 6 months I have been working and selling my work in Utah at art fairs and shows as well as through special orders and internet. All of my pottery designs are my original ideas and my products are all handmade, mostly on the potter's wheel.
Throughout my career as an artist and potter, I have held the conviction that it’s essential to surround ourselves with beauty. I work to make each piece I produce, each cup or plate or object of daily use, have a presence, a beauty which transmits the pleasure of touch, attracts the eye and tenders a sense of joy and well being. The best gift we can give, to ourselves or to others, is a thing that makes life more beautiful.
