Workshop description

In this workshop students will learn how to interpret and paint a portrait from a live model. Starting with the basic steps, Kelsey will teach you how to see light, shape, and form and apply those on the canvas working in an alla prima approach. She will focus on the correct proportions of the model and getting a general likeness. Kelsey will begin with a short demo to show students how to get started and work with each individual student throughout the workshop to help them along with their paintings. At the end of the workshop there will be a class critique for the students.
